How It Started
The Karla Kay Cancer Screening Fund
The Karla Kay Cancer Screening Fund was created in honor of Karla Kay Poulalion, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. During her battle, she encouraged others to seek early detection, and after sharing her story, hundreds pursued screenings—leading to life-saving diagnoses for many.
Before her passing, Karla asked her loved ones to continue advocating for early detection. In her honor, her family and friends established this nonprofit to provide access to critical cancer screenings, ensuring her legacy lives on by helping others catch cancer early and save lives.

Our Board of Directors is composed of those who knew and loved Karla best—her brother, her devoted husband, her two daughters, and some of her closest friends. United by her memory, we are committed to honoring her legacy, carrying forward her vision, and making a lasting impact in her name.
