I am truly privileged to serve on the Board of Directors for the Karla Kay Cancer Screening Fund, an initiative dedicated to honoring the memory of my sweet friend Karla, who bravely fought her battle with cancer. Our friendship spanned over 44+ years filled with countless cherished memories – from cheering together on the sidelines in High School to navigating the ups and downs of college life as roommates, and ultimately raising our children side by side.

Karla was such a remarkable person whose spirit and resilience inspired everyone around her. After her diagnosis, her motto became “Scan While You Can,” which serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of proactive health awareness and early detection. 

It is in this spirit that I aim to contribute to the mission of this fund. I believe we can create a meaningful impact by raising awareness and supporting individuals and families facing the challenges of cancer. As a member of this Board, I am dedicated to honoring Karla’s legacy and amplifying her message. I am grateful for the opportunity to Keep Karla’s spirit alive through our collective efforts.
